Founded in 1967 by local musician and educator Kenneth Hollier, the Oakville Symphony is one of the largest mid-sized orchestras in Canada.
Leading up to its 50th anniversary season, the organization’s leadership was looking for a fresh take on their brand, including the name (originally Oakville Symphony Orchestra), website, and print material. The new brand draws inspiration from the first four basic movements a conductor uses to lead the orchestration of a piece. Combining these movements together creates a dynamic, exciting visual language for this vibrant orchestra. The identity program pulses with colour and movement to create a cohesive, modern look that can play beautifully for decades to come.
